STAFF TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective Date: 01/01/2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all individuals engaged by World Pirate Tours Ltd (“the Company”), including employees, freelancers, and self-employed contractors (“Staff”).
By working with the Company or accepting bookings, you agree to the following:
1. Engagement Status
Staff may be engaged on a self-employed or employed basis, as agreed separately
Self-employed Staff are responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, and statutory obligations
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership or joint venture
2. Role & Responsibilities
Staff are responsible for:
Delivering high-energy, engaging experiences for customers
Following event itineraries and instructions provided by the Company
Representing the Company in a professional and positive manner
Arriving on time and fulfilling the full duration of bookings
Assisting with setup, coordination, and pack down where required
3. Conduct & Behaviour
Staff must:
Treat all customers, venues, and team members with respect
Maintain a professional, friendly, and inclusive attitude
Not engage in aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour
Not be under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol during events
Comply with all venue policies and applicable laws
The Company reserves the right to remove any Staff member from an event for misconduct.
4. Health & Safety
Staff agree to:
Take reasonable care for their own safety and that of others
Follow all safety guidance and instructions
Exercise judgment when leading or participating in activities
Immediately report any accidents, injuries, or incidentsStaff must not run or continue any activity they believe to be unsafe.
5. Liability
Staff acknowledge that:
Events may involve physical activity, alcohol, and public environments
There are inherent risks associated with such activitiesTo the fullest extent permitted by law:
The Company is not liable for injury, loss, or damage resulting from:
Staff negligence or misconduct
Failure to follow instructions
Participation in activities outside agreed duties
Staff are responsible for their own personal belongings at all times.
6. Customer Safety & ConductStaff must:
Not force participation in any activity
Monitor customer behaviour and intervene where necessary
Escalate issues involving unsafe or excessive intoxication
Prioritise safety over entertainment at all times
7. Equipment & Property
Staff are responsible for Company equipment issued to them
Equipment must be returned in good condition after each event
Staff may be charged for loss or damage caused by negligence
8. Payment Terms
Payment will be agreed per booking or via separate agreement
Payment timelines will be communicated in advance
The Company reserves the right to withhold or adjust payment in cases of:
Non-attendance
Late arrival
Misconduct or failure to perform duties
9. Cancellations & Availability
Staff must provide as much notice as possible if unable to attend a booking
Failure to attend without reasonable notice may result in removal from future work opportunities
10. Confidentiality & Non-Solicitation
Staff agree not to:
Share confidential business information, including pricing, processes, or customer data
Contact or solicit Company clients outside of official bookings
Replicate or compete directly using Company materials, branding, or methods
11. Social Media & Content
Events may be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes
Staff consent to the Company using this content for marketing
Staff may share content, provided it reflects positively on the Company
12. Termination
The Company reserves the right to terminate engagement immediately if:
These Terms are breached
Staff behaviour damages the Company’s reputation
There are repeated reliability or performance issues
13. Changes to TermsThe Company may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued engagement constitutes acceptance of any updates.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
